An Introduction to Rare Earth Restoration Services
Founded by Justin Duncan, a restoration practitioner with over 20 years of experience in environmental policy, science and law. After many years practicing as an environmental lawyer, Justin decided to shift his career to the area where he sees the greatest opportunity for hope and meaningful change: actively working with nature to restore it to former function and diversity.

Having membership in the Society for Ecological Restoration, we are committed to following the International Principles and Standards for the Practice of Ecological Restoration which can be found here.
An Ecological Restoration Primer
Ecological restoration is the process of assisting the recovery of an ecosystem that has been degraded, damaged, or destroyed by creating conditions needed so that microorganisms, plants, and animals can carry out the work of recovery. The benefits of this approach include:
improving biological diversity
increasing the populations and distribution of threatened species
improving landscape connectivity
increasing the availability of environmental goods and services
contributing to the improvement of human well-being
following project completion, human intervention and management (and the associated cost) is minimized
